The FIDE World Amateur Rapid & Blitz Chess Championships 2026 bring together amateur chess players from around the world in a celebration of intellect, competition, and sportsmanship.
Organized under the auspices of FIDE and the Nigeria Chess Federation, the championship will be held in Abuja, Nigeria, from August 1 to 8, 2026.
From thrilling Rapid and Blitz battles to cultural exchange and international friendship, the championship offers more than competition; it creates an unforgettable global chess experience.

The championships will be held in JOHNWOOD HOTEL ABUJA from 1st of August, 2026 (arrival date) until 08 of August, 2026 (departure date) hosted by the Nigeria Chess Federation, under the auspices of the International Chess Federation (FIDE)
The playing venue will be BOLTON EVENT HALL BY JOHNWOOD.
